I took Web Design my sophomore year and learned so much about computers and how things run. I now know how to make my own slideshow from scratch and how to make a webpage that is able to be navigated using different tabs and pages.

I took this course second semester of junior year, where we learned about historic studies of the brain and why we do what we do. It helped me understand why people experience what they do, from the thinking process of serial killers to why we have dreams.

Creative Writing is a course that explores many aspects of writing and how people have created so many genres and stories over the years. It explores different writers from around the world and different styles of writing that I would have never experienced otherwise.

Capstone is a year-long English class offered for seniors in which students research a topic that they are passionate, curious, and motivated to learn more about. Through group work, independent study, and research lessons, we are developing questions and answers to a variety of topics. At the end of the year, we will produce a paper and a TEDTalk for an audience on our findings.

Oceanography is a course I am taking throughout my senior year, in which we study the oceans, their phenomena, and the species that reside in them. We talk about how they have developed to be a vital part of life and what impacts humans are having on them.
