Plasma Sign

Many types of machines use vector files to cut things out via computer:

• Vinyl cutters (sticker cutters)

• CNC machines (Plasma cutters)

• Laser cutters/engravers

Objective

• Create a design in Adobe Illustrator for sign for the school.

• Possible text ideas:

  • JVHS CTE

  • JURUPA

  • Jurupa Valley

Document Size

• Width: 36 inches

• Height: 12 inches

Grid Lines

• View > Show Grid

• Edit > Preferences > Guides & Grid

  • Gridline: every 1 inch

  • Subdivisions: 2 (so each box is 1/2")

Requirements

• Every part of your design must be at least 1/2" thick!

• Grey fill (or gradient)

• Red Stroke (for cut line!)

To turn in

• Select your design, then SNIP and save to turn in.

• Your Ai file
