Screen Printing Tasks

Turn Dryer on (POWER and HEAT.  All 3 switches should be on)

• Dryer is ready when both numbers are over 800

• SV is the set value (the temperature the belt dryer is set to)

• PV is the perceived value (the temperature it is actually at)

Plug in flash dryer (allow to warm up; at least 10 minutes)

Spray each board with a bit of spray tack.

• Do small little bursts of spray as you move around each board, facing the can almost straight down, so the spray only goes to the board, and not other parts of the press (like the bearings where the screen arm goes down into)

To turn the large dryer off, first only turn off the HEAT switch!

• Keep the POWER button on, so the belt keeps moving.

• After the dryer has cooled down (approximately 10-15 minutes), the POWER switch can be turned off.  The EXHAUST FAN switch can always stay ON.

• If you leave for lunch, please tell the Substitute Teacher to turn the POWER button off at the end of lunch.

Unplug the flash dryer.
