• Generic images (no brands!)

• Google Images > Tools >

  • Size: Large

  • Color > Black and white

How to use Image Trace to automatically VECTOR a raster image

1. Open an image (.jpg or .png) in Illustrator

2. Select the image

3. Click: Image Trace (top toolbar)

4. Click: Expand

5. Right click on the image > Ungroup

6. Delete any parts of the trace you don't want (white box around it)

Grading

• C: Minimum of 3 images correctly color traced and colored in

• B: Minimum of 5 images correctly color traced and colored in

• A: Minimum of 5 images + 1 hand drawn (sharpie) design (thoughtful!) image traced

To turn in

1. Select all your traces (Ctrl + A) > Snipping Tool

   1. I am looking to see if the outside "boxes" are gone!

2. Also turn in your Illustrator file.
