Pen Tool Abstract

­Instructions

• Watch part 1 and 2 the videos below, and also refer to the attached instructions.

1. File > New

   1. Width: 1080 pixels

   2. Height: 720 pixels

   3. Resolution: 72 pixels/inch

2. Add a new layer by clicking on the New Layer button

3. Add a solid color to the new layer by clicking on the 50/50 (yin-yang) button, then solid color.

4. Add a new layer to begin making swirls.

   1. set your brush first (size, softness, color)

   2. use pen tool to create path

   3. be sure and click the “paths” button up top, before defining your path

   4. right click > stroke > brush > simulate pressure

5. Put groups of swirls on different layers, and adjust opacity if desired.

6. To turn in:

   1. Take a snip of your document WITH you layers tool bar visible!

   2. Name: Pen Tool Abstract last first
