Business Card

OBJECTIVE

To create a (school-appropriate) business card for yourself (fictitious (fake) or for a real business that you have, are involved in, or want to be) or for a family member.

INSTRUCTIONS

1.   Download and open the business card TEMPLATE in Photoshop

2.   Skip this step if  you did NOT use the template (Go to step 3!)

   • File > New

   • Name: business card

   • Width: 3.6 inches

   • Height: 2.1 inches

   • Resolution: 350 pixels/inch

3.   Required elements

   • Business Name, small description

   • Your name

   • Address

   • Contact Info

4.   Be Creative!  Use the tools we’ve learned to spice it up!

5.   Save as: Business Card Last First Name

REQUIREMENTS

• There needs to be at least one item with a cut-out background.

• You cannot have an image you found on the internet as the whole background! (I do not want you to use a “pre-made” background for your card!)

• Try to make the background from a series of elements blended together.  Adjust the fill or opacity of those layers.

• Remember, on a business card, the company name, your name, and phone number need to STAND OUT.  Do not let that info blend into the background!

• Make sure your background images are NOT too overpowering!

• You need to have at least one set of text (words) with special fx (effects).
