Typography 1 - Font Pairing

1.  Find a single, small phrase (~ 3 to 6 words), and create 7 different versions (different font pairs) of it in ILLUSTRATOR (Letter size, landscape)

2.  Each version should pair 2 different fonts, according to the rules we discussed!

3.  Label which RULE (and number) you used to pair your fonts. (Use the "Summary of Rules" below!)

4.  Please complete in order (from left to right)

5.  Use each rule only 1 time!

6.  Black text only.

7.  We are not concerned with layout just yet; just pairing different fonts!

8.  Take a snip of your work, and insert on the first slide of this Google Slide Presentation. CLICK HERE 

9.  To turn in, take a snip and save as: Typography 1 Last First Name

Summary of Rules:

1.   ALL CAPS & all lower case (with the same font)

2.   ALL CAPS & all lower case (with different fonts)

3.   ALL CAPS (not Cursive!) and a Script Font (Cursive)

4.   Fancy & Simple

5.   Skinny & Chunky

6.   Wide & Narrow

7.   Tall & Short

* Remember, Opposites Attract! (Complementary Moods)

*Reminder, your fonts do NOT have to be in that order.

i.e. you can have:  lowercase, UPPERCASE, lowercase for your phrase.
