2h/week in Year 7
Year 7 will be the second cohort to take the New French GCSE, they are being taught in a new way with three pillars:
Vocabulary (vocabulary test every two lessons - lists of 10 to 30 words)
Phonics (one sound per lesson, revisiting throughout the year)
Grammar (one focus per lesson, breaking down every new grammar point to two introduced together maximum)
Teachers use the resources from NCLEP to teach.
