TOP THREE ANIMES TO WATCH

By Carli Elliott

My Hero Academia

Summary: Middle school student Izuku Midoriya desperately wants to become a hero, but he is one of the few in his generation born without a quirk/power. Will meeting the symbol of justice, All might, change his fate? I would highly recommend this anime to people who love action series and a little bit of humor. My rating for this series is definitely a five out of five.

Haikyu!

Summary: Inspired by a volleyball hero, young Hinata later participates in his first match against “the King of the Court.” A passion and a rivalry is born. I would recommend this to the people who like realistic fiction animes. I didn’t enjoy this one as much as My Hero Academia. However, I hope everyone else who watches it likes it! A three out of five from me!

The Promised Neverland

Summary: Life with house mother Isabella is bliss for the kids at Grace Field orphanage, until Conny’s adoption leads Emma and Norman to a dark discovery. I recommend this to people who like some jump scares and mysteries. I enjoyed this anime so much, although maybe some of the jump scares were too much for me. Four out of five in my opinion!

The Nut Job One-reviewed by Antonio Patti

The movies Nut Job One is about a squirrel, a dog, two other squirrels, and other animals from the park that find a nut shop that can feed them for years to come. Nut Job One is about a squirrel named Surly and his band of friends that have to survive off a nut shop that is run by a band of thieves that have nefarious plans to steal money out of a bank. The squirrels have to get over the beams in the top of the nut shop to get to the basement, and the beams are covered by mousetraps. They have to get to the basement where all the nuts are stored, and then they have to break out of the basement. The squirrel and the rat get halfway across the beam and then the squirrel picks up a piece of cheese and gets his tail stuck in a mousetrap. Then, he starts screaming and the rat has to stuff the piece of cheese in the squirrel's mouth. After that, they get across with no more tails stuck in a mousetrap and when they get to the basement, there is a dog in the basement. The dog wants to catch the squirrel but the thieves won't let her because they think she is barking for no reason. The owner of the dog then uses a whistle and the dog gets very scared and stops. The owner then accidentally drops the whistle and the squirrel gets his hand on the whistle and then he makes friends with the dog because she thinks that they're going to use the whistle but they never do and they are nice to her. A raccoon is plotting nefarious things against the squirrels because he wants to take the food that they have gathered from the nut shop when the squirrel said they could each have 50% of the nut shop, but the raccoon wants to take all of the nuts from the nut shop. After that, the park animals all banish raccoon and make him go into the ocean. At the end of Nut Job One, the movie ends with raccoon sitting on a buoy in the middle of the ocean. I liked this movie because the characters are witty. I wrote this overview because I have loved this movie since I was about four.
