What is JPS Google?

Google for Education is a free suite of tools for education that includes productivity tools such as Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, instructional tools such as Google Classroom, and personal management tools such as Google Drive, Forms, and Calendar.

Additionally, because your "JPS Google" account has all of the same rights and privileges as a "regular gmail" account, you can use your JPS Google account to pass through your login information to dozens and dozens of educational applications. Simply either login or create a new account with your @jpsms.org email address, enter your password and you are good to go!

Students: Ask your homeroom teacher who in your school is the designated teacher who can reset student passwords. Go to that teacher and ask them to reset your password.

New Procedures for Teachers and All Staff Members as of November 6, 2017

As of November 6, 2017, all jpsms.org passwords and jackson.k12.ms.us passwords can be synced so that teachers can use one password for both accounts. Account passwords will remain different until the staff member resets their jackson.k12.ms.us password. All staff members are required to reset their passwords every 90 days for security reasons. Click this link to reset your JPS password.

If a staff member wants to sync their passwords immediately, they can go to the JPS password reset page and both passwords will sync and be the same. Click this link to reset your JPS password and sync your jpsms.org and jackson.k12.ms.us passwords.

All staff members who forget their jpsms.org or jackson.k12.ms.us password must go to the Jackson Public Schools Reset Password page and reset their password.
