What is Clever?

Using Clever allows students to use a single set of credentials to sign into multiple applications. Clever gives staff and teachers more time to focus on things that really matter.

How do teachers and students login to Clever?

• Teachers login to Clever using their JPS Google domain credentials. (username@jpsms.org, password is same as jackson.k12.ms.us)

• Students login to Clever using their JPS Google domain credentials. (msis#@jpsms.org)

What if I can't login to Clever?

• In order to login to Clever and see students, all teachers must be in SAM with their correct employee ID number, email address, and correct and complete class rosters. If a teacher cannot login, and the school has verified the SAM record is complete, they should contact the Office of Instructional Technology.

• Not all applications allow administrators in through Clever. Administrators should try the Clever icon for their application first, and if then cannot login, they should contact the JPS sponsoring program office for that specific application for additional guidance. If an administrator cannot login, they should contact the Office of Instructional Technology.

• In order for students to login to Clever, they MUST have a complete, and correct SAM student record included a complete and correct schedule, and know their JPS Google password. If a student cannot login, they should notify their teacher who should ask the office to verify the SAM information. If the SAM information is correct and the password is correct and the student can still not login, the teacher should contact the Office of Instructional Technology.
