Code of Conduct
Josh Talks expects its team members to adhere to a standard of professional conduct and integrity. This ensures that the work environment is safe, comfortable and productive. We should be respectful, courteous, and mindful of other's personal and workspace & environment.
Josh Talks is also committed to create a workplace, at all of its working locations, that, all the times, is free from harassment and discrimination, where fellow team members are respected, and provided an appropriate environment so as to encourage good performance and conduct.
To achieve this goal, all team members are expected to:
Adhere to the Josh Talk policies in their professional as well as personal conduct
Treat your teammates with respect, courtesy, honesty and fairness
Respect different values, beliefs, cultures and religions
Value the contribution of your teammates, and work co-operatively not bully, intimidate, harass or discriminate against other teammates
It is essential that all team members accept personal responsibility for maintaining high standards of conduct and job performance. Violations of these standards will result in disciplinary action.
Our Code of Conduct describes the expected day-to-day behaviours of all team members, acting as a bridge between our values and our more detailed individual policies. It is intended to foster ethical and appropriate decision-making while ensuring that our behaviours are aligned with expected standards of professional conduct.
The Code of Conduct applies equally to all team members, regardless of office location, function, cultural differences, or team. The Code of Conduct governs the decisions and actions of all team members, both individually and as an organisation. As individuals, we are personally accountable for behaving in a manner that is professional, lawful, and in accordance with our values and policies. If you suspect or know of a situation that runs counter to our Code of Conduct, or if you simply face a choice involving ethics or values, we expect you to raise the situation with your manager or HR, so that the matter can be promptly resolved.

Below we describe our voice and tone within and outside the organisation:
We believe in the power of storytelling and we choose our words wisely. We use our voice to communicate clearly and confidently. When we say something, we do it.
Authentic: Be honest and direct. Our words carry weight. We own up to our mistakes and offer solutions. Not afraid to tell it like it is.
Clear: Aim to communicate using the fewest words possible. Use simple, everyday words and phrases. Avoid repetition.
Bold: We are revolutionaries and our communication should reflect that. Use words that are simple but strong. Be borderline arrogant.
Relatable: Talk to, not up or down. We are conversational and witty. Be considerate and inclusive with the words we use. Make jokes but never at the expense of someone.
While our voice stays consistent over time, our tone can change depending on who we’re speaking to, what we are trying to convey or which medium we are communicating through.
With our team members: Candid and Clear
With our users: Conversational and Empathetic
With our speakers: Respectful and Compassionate
With our investors and partners: Courteous and Confident
