However, it is MORE important that you feel well and that you are taking care of yourself and your mental health.
If you, a family member, or a friend are in need of IMMEDIATE HELP outside of school hours use any of the following resources to get the help and support you need. All of these resources are available 24/7 and can connect you to mental health professionals. Each organization's website is bolded, blue and underlined.

Safe Place Program: You can ask for help at any of the 88 "safe places" across the valley. Rec centers, fire stations, and libraries are some of the safe places. Watch for the yellow sign.

Family Acceptance Project: For families who are trying to work through understanding LGBTQ youth, the Family Acceptance Project has many great resources. Some informational pamphlets which are created by the Family
Utah Pride Center: For groups and services dealing specifically with LGBTQ issues the Utah Pride Center has many resources and can connect students and families

Divorce is difficult. We encourage you to be open about your difficulty with divorce. Some resources can be found below, but openness with your counselor and parents can help lead you to healing.

The Family Support Center is a community resource that offers parenting and family support services

The Jordan Family Education Center provides weekly classes on anger management, parenting, dealing with divorce, anxiety, social skills, and many other important topics of wellness and mental health. You can also receive FREE counseling services through the Jordan Education Center. For a current class schedule, click this link. You can also call the number below to schedule an intake appointment or ask about specific classes.
Individual Counseling with your counselor can be coordinated by setting an appointment, if needed your counselor can refer you to The Jordan Family Education Center (or community resources) for additional help according to need.
Groups are run at Valley High based on need, if you are struggling with grief, divorce, anxiety or school success; we encourage you to ask about groups and we will work to meet your needs.
