Here at Valley High School we are all about setting you up for success! We are so much more than just a packet school and offer a wide variety of methods to help you recover past failed credits, earn additional original credit and get you back on track towards graduation. Check out our credit recovery options below and be sure to check with your counselor for more information and to determine which activates would be right for you!
*In order to qualify for credit recovery options, all fees must be paid and student must be in good academic standing (passing most classes)*
Packets - $35

Available in most academic areas
Requires final exam for understanding
Must be completed within 30 days
Up to (2) packets can be purchased at a time

Most Fridays from 9AM-1PM
Credits offered depend on the activity
Space is limited to a first come first serve basis
Activities go on sale two weeks in advance
Power Hour Cards
Power Hour Cards
Recovers one quarter credit (.25)
Requires 24 Power Hour stamps
Stamps can be earned by attending Power Hour sessions, guest speakers, etc.
Can be applied to elective and all core academic areas*
*Core credit requires additional work. contact individual teachers for more information
Work Experience
Work Experience
Can earn between one original quarter credit (.25) and one original full credit (1.00) depending on average hours worked
Available only to Juniors and Seniors
Can be applied to either elective or C.T.E credit
Requires Work Evaluation Form and copies of pay stubs*
*Pay stubs must be in your name, Social Security Number, and show that you paid taxes. NO under the table jobs!*

Recovers one quarter (.25) Language Arts credit
Offered once every quarter
Free copies of books offered on a first come first serve basis
Requires completion of a reflection essay or book cover assignment and attendance of end of quarter Book Club discussion meeting
