Program requirements for prospective students:
Must qualify for special education services
Have not yet received a High School Diploma
May qualify if you have received an Alternate Diploma
Between the ages of 18-21, after completion of their senior year in High School

In summary, is the age when children legally become adults and gain the rights to make decisions for themselves. When a student reaches the age of majority under State Law (a.k.a. 18 years old), all rights transfer to the student unless guardianship, power of attorney, or conservatorship has been granted through courts. Not later than the student's 17th birthday, the IEP must include a dated statement that is signed by the student, parent, and LEA, that the student(s) parents have been informed of parent rights that will be transferred to the student reaching age of majority (18 yrs old).
