Essential Vocabulary:
Credits - (Slide 3&4) Credits are awarded upon completion of each term for classes taken. Credits are received with any grade other than F. F grades do not count toward credit for graduation and will need to be made up.
GPA - (Slide 7) Grade Point Average: Numerical values for letter grades. These numbers are averaged to get the GPA. Many colleges and universities use GPA for entrance and scholarship money.
Grants - (Slide 11) Money usually given by the government for advanced training or college that does not need to be repaid.
Scholarship - (Slide 11) Money given by any school, business, or private party for advanced education that does not need to be repaid.
4 Year Plan - This is a rough idea of what grades 9-12 will look like with core classes inserted. Classes may vary.
