Credit Recovery

Every school year grades are issued by quarter. 0.25 credit is awarded to each class per quarter if the end grade is D- or higher. If a 9th grade student fails a quarter (receives and F) in any class needed for graduation, they are required to recover the failed hours of credit by completing the credit recovery process.

Options for Summer Credit Recovery

Summer School Info 2023.pdf

Joel P. Jensen Middle School has a FREE credit recovery program available to students throughout the school year, starting at the beginning of second quarter. Talk to your counselor if you are interested. This option is available for current 9th graders up until June 30, 2024

Cost: Joel P. Jensen Middle is covering the cost of this credit recovery option...it's FREE!

Don't have a computer at home? Come in to room 500 anytime through June 30 to complete your Edgenuity classes.

Dr. Drew will be there from 8-3 Monday-Friday.

Note: The original grade the student received on their report card will remain the same, however credit will be issued for the class failed. In other words, completing credit recovery for a failed class does not replace the original grade but it does make-up the credit so the student can graduate.
