What National Awards represent
National awards represent those cadets that have met the standards and then chosen to exceed those standards. Prestigious and reputable organizations from across the nation recognize cadets of various skill levels for outstanding achievement in academics, leadership, self-improvement, discipline, tenacity, and demonstration of the seven Army values.
The awards are listed in order of precedence below. The cadet along with a denotation of the respective societies and organizations that presented the award and the requirements of each award.
Superior Cadet
Superior Cadet Level I Award
Must be in the top 10% of the JROTC class academically.
Must be in the top 50% of their graduating class academically.
Must be engaged in extracurricular activities.
Must be in the top 20% of JROTC class in military knowledge.
Must be recommended by SAI and principal or head of the appropriate institution.
Demonstrate qualities of discipline, courtesy, and character.

The National Sojourners JROTC award is presented to a cadet in the program for recognition of Americanism within the Corps of Cadets, the campus, and the community. To be eligible for this awarded the cadet must:
Be in the second year of a three-year program or the third year of a four-year program
Be in the top 25% of their academic class
Demonstrate the ideas of Americanism by deed or conduct or both.
Demonstrate a potential for outstanding leadership.
Not have previously received this award.

National Society of the Daughters of 1812
National Society of the Daughters of 1812 Award
Founded in 1892, the National Society United States Daughters of 1812, women’s service organization for descendants of patriots who aided the American cause during the War of 1812. The National Society of the Daughters of 1812 award a JROTC cadet that exceeds in the areas of academics, leadership, military discipline, dependability, patriotism, which exemplify the ideals upon which our nation was founded.
Daughters of the American Colonists (DAC)
Daughters of the American Colonists (DAC) Award
The Daughters of the American Colonists foster love for the United States of America and its institutions by all its residents; and to obey its laws and venerate its flag, the emblem of its power and civic righteousness. This award is presented to a cadet that shows love for this nation, the ideals of its forefathers, and the freedoms granted to all people that live in this land. This cadet has shown growth in both strength and achievement.

Sons of Confederate Veterans - JROTC "HUNLEY" Award
honors the crew of the Confederate submarine H. L. Hunley, the first submarine to sink an enemy vessel in combat. The medal is awarded to a second-year cadet that demonstrates the qualities of Honor, Courage, and in particular, Commitment to the Battalion.

United States Army Warrant Officer Association
Bronze Award
Warrant Officer Association awards are assigned to cadets that either display a high level of proficiency above the level of their peers or demonstrates a great improvement in a skill area.
Copper Award
Warrant Officer Association awards are assigned to cadets that either display a high level of proficiency above the level of their peers or demonstrates a great improvement in a skill area.
Silver Award
Warrant Officer Association awards are assigned to cadets that either display a high level of proficiency above the level of their peers or demonstrates a great improvement in a skill area.
Gold Award
Warrant Officer Association awards are assigned to cadets that either display a high level of proficiency above the level of their peers or demonstrates a great improvement in a skill area.
