Students interested in completing an internship for course credit for the 2024-2025 academic school year should fill out the interest form below. NOTE: Application window for Fall 2025 semester is OPEN

Students are responsible for their own internship placement prior to the start of the course. The Career Development Coordinator (Ms. Alford) or their school counselor may assist, but is not responsible for finding an internship host for the student.Â
Students may participate in paid or unpaid internships
Students must have reliable transportation to and from the work site
The CDC or School Counselor has the right to validate the integrity and safety of the internship site
Students may not be evaluated by a relative at the internship site
Interns are representing JCPS while participating in this course. If a student has discipline issues and/or excessive absences as outlined by JCPS Board Policy during the semester prior to the internship, principal approval will be required before being considered for the course
Space is limited. If more eligible students apply than are allowed in the course, a lottery will be used to determine placement. Seniors needing the course for graduation will be given priority
Students may be expected to attend in-person meetings with the CDC throughout the course as needed
Students will be notified by their CDC or School Counselor regarding placement in the course
If required paperwork is not completed within the first 10 days of the semester, the student will risk being removed from the course
