John Curtis Christian School had a home-field advantage in their season opener. Rabun Gap Traveled from Georgia to Play John Curtis. There was lots of rain so J.T. curtis moved the Game to the Caesars Superdome. The super dome was filled with hundreds of people watching John Curtis Vs Rabun Gap. John Curtis lost to Rabun Gap- Nacoochee Eagles at home 27-12 On Friday, September 6,2024. Although John Curtis lost, they still got scores from two Juniors Nate Alairo and Drake Mason. In the first quarter Nate Alario had a 4 yard TD run but the kick was no good. FIrst quarter ended RGNHS 0, JCCHS 6. In the second quarter Rabun Gap came back and scored 21 to end the first half, john curtis didn’t score anything. The score did not change in the Third Quarter. The Fourth Quarter Drake Mason had a 1 yard TD run but the run failed. The game ended RGNHS 27, JCCHS 12.

How are you feeling after the game: pretty disappointed in the loss, upset that we turned the ball over as many times as we did, proud of how defense performed in the situations they were put in

John Curtis traveled to play The Northshore Panthers on Friday September 13th, 2024. John Curtis Got their first win of the 2024-2025 Football season 27-7. John Curtis had impressive offensive performances. Senior Reggie Johnson rushed for 65 yards and threw 28 yards and a touchdown. Junior Kolston Martinez ran away from the competition and rushed 80 yards. There were a total of 5 touchdowns from Senior Reggie Johnson and Xay Brown, Juniors Jacobi Boudreaux and Kolston Martinez. Senior Lucas Kippers added 3 points to the board with a kick in the Second, Third and Fourth Quarter.
John Curtis Vs Rummel
John Curtis played Archbishop Rummel on Sept 27,2024 at 7pm at Joe Yenni. John Curtis came to play and redeem themselves from last year. The game attracted lots of fans for both sides. The weather was beautiful. Even though John Curtis took the loss they still gave their all. The dominant performance gave Quarterback Reggie Johnson a new career-high in rushing yards. In the First Quarter Senior AJ Smith made a 10 yard Touchdown. Senior Lucas Kipper's kick was good. The game ended 14-7.

John Curtis vs. Warren Easton
John Curtis had home field advantage. John Curtis played Warren Easton on October 4, 2024 Lots of fans showed up to the game to support the Patriots in week five. John Curtis came ready to play!! Nate Alario had a 65 yard touchdown but the kick was no good in the first quarter. In the second Quarter Joseph (Jojo) Fagin had a 15 yard Touchdown pass from Reggie Johnson. The Kick was no good. In the third Quarter There were two touchdowns by Jacobi Boudreaux, a 36 yard touchdown and Kolston Martinez ran the extra point. and by AJ smith a 6 yard touchdown. Curtis tried to run pass the extra point but was no good. WE WON!
John Curtis played Holly cross on October 11, 2024 at 7pm. John Curtis had another home field advantage. It was the homecoming game and the Patriots came ready to play. The stands were filled with Red White and Blue. In the first quarter Nate Alario got a 27 yard touchdown but the kick was no good. In the fourth quarter Reggie Johnson had a 6 yard touchdown run. Lucas Kippers' kick was good. The game ended at 14-0. Curtis improves its record to 3-2 on the season.

John Curtis played Brother Martin on October 17th at 7:30. It was the second to last home game we have this season. The Weather was amazing and the stands were crowded. In the first quarter AJ Smith had a 7 yard touchdown. Lucas Kipper’s kick was good. The score was 7-14. Brother Martin was winning but we came back in the third quarter, Kolston Martinez had a 2 yard touchdown run the kick was good. The Fourth Quarter Lucas Kippers had a 19 yard field goal. The game ended 17-14. We Won!

How are you feeling after the game: I was feeling very great finally caught an interception. We started off a little slow in the beginning but we got back on track
Something you’re proud of from the game: I caught an interception that returned some yards that led the offense to go down and win the game winning point. I’m proud that even defense started a little slow and had a lot of turnovers but we still pulled through.

What motivates you to do better next time: Work on my tackling a little bit, especially with the next two games coming up.
How are you feeling after the game:I felt very proud of myself and that I achieved a big goal in my high school sophomore year in football. My goal was to catch at least 2-3 picks this year

Legendary WGNO Sports Director Ed Daniels died at 67. He passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. Ed Daniels had a passion for high school sports that extended past football. He wrote sports column for the Clarion Herald and hosted the WGNO Friday Night Football show with Coach J.T. for 32 years.
