1. What are some words of encouragement for all the new students that might be nervous starting the new school year?
We have all experienced something new in our lives so reaching out to a teacher or administrator would be a great resource to help new students. I came to Curtis as a junior in high school and there was one girl who reached out to me when I started. 36 years later and we are still best friends. So, I always try to make connections between new students and returning students to help with the transition. I love watching the friendships that are being made throughout the year and hopefully a lifetime.
