60 Years and Counting! JCCS celebrates its 60th anniversary year!
By Emma Sutton
There was a sense of excitement in the air during our annual "Get Acquainted" Spaghetti Dinner. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have not been able to have an in-person dinner for the past two years. This year, however, our students, parents, and staff were grateful to have it back in the high school gym. The Spaghetti Dinner tradition, according to Coach J.T., was started back in 1970 and has brought Patriot families together ever since. The event recognizes students involved in fall activities including Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Swimming, Dance, Cheer, Film, Band, and the Homecoming Court.
Over 700 people came together this year to eat some delicious spaghetti and get acquainted. While friends and families gathered for dinner, the band provided them with some music and the cheerleaders entertained them with some cheers. The dance team performed a hip-hop dance for them as well. The gym was packed and everyone had an amazing time. This tradition reflects how important it is in JCCS to bring families together and to recognize our students.
The Annual Spaghetti Dinner was a great time for all!
