History of See You at the Pole
SYATP was inspired by a youth group of students in Burleson, Texas. In early 1990, these students felt the urge to go and pray at night at several schools during a weekend retreat. They had an extended time of prayer and this experience was shared with thousands of youth from across Texas. This experience took the form of a challenge in June 1990 at a youth conference. The first See You at the Pole recorded a whopping 45,000 students participating across 1,200 campuses in Texas, and three other states.
Each year, our school partakes in this event and encourages students to join. This event is hosted before school, at 7:45 A.M., and donuts are provided which are an added bonus to this event.
