Need Advice? This is just the place for you!
Here is a little advice from Dr. Patriot. If you want people to know you and want to meet new people, you should get involved in everything. You should be friendly and start conversations with people that look approachable. The best clubs to join are all of the clubs because you can meet new people and be involved in every school activity that we have. Joining clubs will look good on your college application, and once you walk across the stage at graduation, you get all the cords. Most people don't know how to make friends, but you should be open to meeting new people. Try talking to other new people you see, and be confident. Don’t have a negative mindset. I was new at one point and was scared of everyone. After two months of school, I started talking to people in my class, and now I know almost everyone. If you want to do well in school you should stay on top of your work! Do not wait until the last minute to do any assignments. Get a planner and write down when assignments are due. Trust me! It helps! Also, if you need help, ask questions. Don’t just sit there and struggle. If you’re a student-athlete it may be challenging because of games and practices, but you must manage your time wisely to get your work done on time or in class. Following this advice will guarantee a successful school year for you! Stay tuned for more advice from Dr. Patriot in the next edition!
