No Shave November
No Shave November
By: Kennedy O'Brien
No Shave November originally started in 2009, when a family started raising money for cancer charities. This family started this trend in honor of Matthew Hill, their father, who passed away from colon cancer in 2007. This raises awareness of cancer patients who lose their hair, by embracing our hair and letting it grow out for 30 days. Students who participate in No Shave November pay $30 that we donate to this charity.
JCCS Students who participated in No Shave November 2023 were Cashmir Connor, Bryce Hebert, Brad Chaisson, Myles Riggins, King Taylor, Justin Lagarde, Joseph Giles, Payton Liuzza, Vernon Swift, and Caleb Fortmayer.
