BASEBALL:
The 2023 Baseball team is entering the playoffs with a good start with a bye the first round and beating St. Paul’s in a three game series which only lasted two. In the First game, the patriots won 17-1, and in the second game was 8-0. The patriots had a good season with a 20-9-1 and definitely asserted their dominance in the district. They are looking to play Catholic of baton rouge in the next round of the playoffs. this will be a rematch of last year's state championship game in which we fell the tiniest bit short, but that just adds extra motivation for the team to get the job done!
SOFTBALL:
The softball team is currently in Sulphur playing Tioga in the semifinals. the team is Hoping to advance for a 3 peat state championship on saturday, april 29. The softball team dominates the competition with current standings of being 8th in the state, 5th in the 5a division, and 1st in the city of New orleans. The Lady Patriots went into the state championship tournament at Sulphur with a 26-8 record and crushing the district competition. Good Luck girls!
TRACK:
The track team just finished regionals as champions. The team is now on their way to state. Tyler Hayes, Justin Horne, and London Parker were each named MVP at the regional track meet. Both boys and girls relay teams ran a perfect 4x4 coming in first place. the boys team finished regionals with a whopping 104 points and will now advance to the state meet in Baton Rouge on May 6.
