IB vs AP

• I'm aware that both IB and AP are suitable preparation for college/university. But if you have to recommend one, which one would you suggest students to take? 

  • It really does depend on what's best for the individual child. Please feel free to speak to your child's counsellor for personalized advice. 

• Is math required in every year with AP or JIS diploma?

  • No, the HS graduation requirements only require 2 years of maths. Please do speak to your child's counselor for more details

• How many AP Courses we can choose along with IB courses?

  • When students get to G11, they can take a mixture of IB and AP courses. The number really depends on the student schedule, graduation requirements, and what the student wants to do.

• What’s the difference between IB Standard vs IB Higher?

  • Higher level courses go into much more depth than standard level. Please speak to individual subject teachers for more details.
