Boys from Year 7 and Year 8 were set the task of creating their best brownie. They only had one hour to do this.
Head judge was Miss Hartley and she was looking for brownies with excellent taste and served with pristine presentation.
At the end of the hour there were some excellent creations.
After lots of deliberation from the judges, five Year 7's and five Year 8's were selected to head on to the next round.
The final five students from Year 7 and Year 8 spent the afternoon creating a dish of their choice to present to the judges. The students had 1 hour and 45 minutes to cook and plate their dish.
After lots of stressful moments in the kitchen Kyle (7C) was crowned the first John Hampden Masterchef Champion of Year 7 for his burger and Noah (8C) was crowned the first ever champion of Year 8 for his chocolate swirl pie. You can see the winners dishes below:
