Application for the Academic Year

Welcome to Jessup Residence Life and Housing.  We are excited to welcome you to the Jessup community in August!

The housing placement process for new students in the Fall/Spring planning to live on campus will work like this:

May 1
RLH Portal Opens for students to apply for Jessup on-campus housing. You must be “Jessup Bound” and confirmed (paid confirmation deposit) before you can fully be able to use the RLH portal.

May 25
Priority Deadline for Housing Contract & student selecting/linking w/ ideal roommate(s) is May 25.  Once the portal has opened, students will complete an application for the academic year. The portal is also where students answer lifestyle questions that will help staff match students with potential roommate(s).  Students can use the messaging system to contact other students and select a person to link with by the June deadline.  The deadline to link with roommates is May 25 by 11:59PM. Students who submit their applications after the deadline may be assigned to a quad room due to space limitations and/or not get ideal roommate(s).

Initial Placement Notifications – 1st week of June – On a “rolling” basis, housing staff will assign student(s), and their preferred roommate (if applicable) as applications are submitted.  Students will be sent an email to their Jessup email with the placement as well as roommate’s name(s) beginning the first week of June.

August 1
Housing staff will do their best to accommodate as many requests as possible, but nothing is guaranteed.  As the move in date approaches, space becomes limited and fewer requests will be accommodated.  Additionally, as the semester start date approaches, applications that come in later in the summer (after May 25) are more likely to be placed without preferred roommates and/or in triple rooms.

Accommodation Request Deadline – July 1 (New Students)
Disability Support Services (DSS) office provides reasonable accommodations to assist college students with disabilities in having equal access to regular college programs and activities. Accommodations are determined individually for each student through an interactive process and are based on functional limitations resulting from a documented disability.  For more information, please contact DSS@jessup.edu.
