Good morning NES families!
Can you believe it's already time for the 24-25 school year? We are thrilled to welcome you all back and are looking forward to seeing all those bright, smiling faces once again. It's time to roll up our sleeves and get ready to prepare your students for the exciting journey ahead!
Here at Nicholasville Elementary, our vision is clear: we want all primary students performing on grade level in reading and math by the end of 2nd grade, while all students in grades 3-5 will maintain or exceed grade level expectations in reading and math.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: Nicholasville Elementary School exists to love and empower our students so they will overcome barriers, grow academically, and become independent learners.
For the 24-25 school year, our actions will center around School Safety and Attendance as well as Student Achievement.
In terms of School Safety and Attendance, we are excited to implement a schoolwide positive behavior intervention system. This system will focus on teaching students the key behaviors of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety. Our team has worked tirelessly over the summer to create a comprehensive system to support all students, as well as intervention plans for those who may need extra help in these areas. Stay tuned for more details on these initiatives!
When it comes to Academic Achievement, our staff will be focusing on our professional learning communities. We are dedicated to bringing clarity to our work, which we believe will have a direct impact on our students and their success.
As we embark on this new school year, NES is thrilled to partner with you in preparing your students for the bright future that lies ahead!
Thank you for your continued support,
Brandean Kenealy

Car drop off
Doors open at 7:40 am.
There will be a grace period through the 23rd of August, however, on the 26th if your student walks through the doors at 8:00 am or later, then they will be marked tardy at the front of the office.
We ask that you're mindful of the safety of your child and others. Please do not stop in the middle of West Maple and let your students out.
Class list - Students got to meet their 24-25 school year teachers today. We're excited to see our friends back next year! Please know that all decisions were made with a team of educators to ensure that we made all of the decisions based on what is best for each child. Please note that these class lists are final for 24-25.
