New the 24-25 school year: For the safety and well-being of all students at NES, we will be moving away from the practice of allowing parents to eat in our cafeteria with their students.
The first day of school is August 14th!
This school year, our big focus will be on our Schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports System (PBIS). PBIS is an evidence-based approach to support students' needs within a building. At the end of last school year, you provided information to us about what academic and social behaviors NES students should have when leaving 5th grade. Overwhelmingly, the data pointed toward Respect, responsibility, and Safety. Click here for some insights on our different area expectations and other behavior items you may see from your student this year.

August 14th, we are continuing the tradition of parents and families walking their students to their classrooms on the first day of school. If you would like to do this, our doors will open at 7:40 am. We ask that you check in at the front table and sign out.

Car drop off
Doors open at 7:40 am.
There will be a grace period through the 23rd of August, however, on the 26th if your student walks through the doors at 8:00 am or later, then they will be marked tardy at the front of the office.
We ask that you're mindful of the safety of your child and others. Please do not stop in the middle of West Maple and let your students out.
