This applies for both Basic and Advanced versions.
You'll also want to check out KLWP's Support section (in the app) and my replies in the original Reddit thread.
Make sure that you have exactly three screens in your homescreen (If you have no icons, launchers like Nova can place a blank page).
KLWP might show five screens in its preview, so change that to three too.
You may be using a device with a different size as I do. Most phones have a 16:9 ratio and if yours is different (like the new tall Galaxy S8 and some tablets), things will get misaligned.
You'll have to either adjust it yourself, or wait for me to release a new version that works for you (I'm working on the S8 version, but it'll take time.)
Try playing something from your media player. Heck, even YouTube should work.
KLWP usually auto-detects whatever's playing media and it'll link to that if you tap the album art. This is generally nice when you're moving between music players, streaming apps and podcast apps -- it'll show whichever is playing.
Poweramp has issues with Album Art and its lockscreen options. Make sure it's enabled.
Now some Android devices or versions might have trouble, so you can force this via KLWP Settings -> Preferred Music Player
Run the latest version of KLWP (v3.24b+)
Download the lower resolution versions of v1.1.
Please tell me if it fails! I won't be able to tell unless someone says that it still fails to work.
There are now prebuilt releases for two and three confidants. Use them.
If you need more, you'll have to learn KLWP.
Install Nova Launcher and try again. The launcher that comes with your phone might not support scrolling.
Make sure that wallpaper scrolling is enabled (Nova -> Settings -> Desktop -> Wallpaper scrolling -> On (or Force)
You do have three screens, right? Move some icons over, or make blank pages.
Try loading a large wallpaper first that can span multiple screens. Set that as your wallpaper, then set it back to KLWP.
Remove the Animation -> Gyroscope Scroll in these components:
Try to restart first. Restart KLWP or your phone.
If things just go wrong completely, just start from scratch.
Well it does, but not as much as you feared it would. I've tried my best to use as little resources as possible.
Live Wallpapers in Android only consume processing resources when you're at the home screen. It should only drain your battery excessively if you've been swiping all day in the homescreen, or when something is moving constantly on the live wallpaper.
I've done some tests on a fresh phone (Oneplus 3T) and an old phone (Nexus 6P) and so far my battery drain trend was no different with or without the theme.
If you really think it's draining more battery, you can remove some features, like the gyroscope movement and the location tracker. See more on Customization.
That's off-topic, but I designed this theme with a Nexus 6P and now on a OnePlus 3T.
If you're looking for a phone, I highly suggest the OnePlus 3T or 5 once it comes out, but really, anything that's on the middle end and is up to two generations old compared to the latest phone right now should work.
The best answer IMO is to consult a community that's about choosing the best phone for your wallet and what you plan to use with it. (/r/PickAnAndroidForMe). Latest phones are just too damn expensive.
Please make sure that you have placed the p5-confidant directory in the right place!
