The newest version is 1.3.

Basic Setups - Just Load and Run

These are all-in-one versions that you can simply load and run, BUT you cannot export these if you want to add more controls to your screen.. If you're not looking to customize, feel free and download the versions below.

Quick Start: Download the file, Open KLWP Pro, Load Preset, Import (Folder Icon), Select the .klwp download, then Save!

v1.3

I've decided to remove the pause screen with a solo shot of the confidant instead, just like how the in-game equivalent pans off that way with a list of their perks. (I'm actually trying to bring that in too, it sounds nice for a list of stuff)

The tradeoff is a better exit animation of Joker and the solo shot taking more of the screen -- revealing their outline which was previously overshadowed by Joker's silhouette.

Download v1.3

(If you want the pause shot back, download 1.2 below.)

v1.2

You can FINALLY choose confidants in a single package without dealing with the p5-confidant folder! It's all bundled in at v1.1 and v1.2! Not only that, it comes with different quality levels too (good for devices struggling with the default high-res stuff!

Very minor aesthetic improvements:

  • The background should change from Day to Night depending on your phone's time. (This was also in 1.1 but it was off by default. If you change the Background to a Formula, it'll work like in this version.)
  • The music border now pulses slightly when something is playing.

Download v1.2

v1.1

This version now lets you choose confidants through KLWP Globals. There are multiple versions here in hopes to solve issues on certain phones with homescreen issues.

Download v1.1 HD (default)

Download v1.1 SD (lower quality, might work on older phones)

Download v1.1 MIN (extremely low quality, for small screen resolutions)

Why can't I export the Basic Setups? I want to customize and add stuff!

If you're looking to customize (i.e, you want ShrineFox's calendar stuff, other KLWP bits from other themes), you cannot use the export feature with these builds. Skip to the next section.

Unfortunately, the export process breaks the confidant selection feature. Part of its optimization process removes unused resources -- which means it'll also remove unused confidants if you export it.

If you really want to build on top of these, you'll have to play around with an archive manager and repack p5-confidant on the .klwp file.

Need Help?

Besides the instructions, I've answered a lot of questions in the Help page.

(I would also suggest looking for Android theming communities if you're stuck. There's likely a subreddit for that.)

Advanced Setups - External Folder + Load and Run

This section is more for users who are willing to customize their setups.

"Quick" Start: Download klwp and p5-confidant folder, Place p5-confidant on Kustom directory,

Open KLWP Pro, Load Preset, Import (Folder Icon), Select the .klwp download, then Save!

The p5-confidant External Folder

This zipped package contains all the assets and images used by the KLWP preset.

v1.2 | v0.2

Advanced v1.1

EDIT: This was formerly labeled v0.2 but is actually in line with the Basic v1.1 version. The files have remained the same.

This improved version builds upon v0.1 and adds choices for Confidants through a Globals selection.

Alternative Setups, Multiple Confidants

Same as v1.1 but with room for two or three confidants, or if you don't want the pause screen. Animations (music player and location bar) were also slightly tweaked so you won't see the player sticking out.

Same instructions with v1.1.

Coming from YouTube?

Game modder, Persona hacker and Youtuber ShrineFox made a video about this theme. You're probably here because of it! (Thanks!)

For everyone else who haven't, he customized his own setup with some neat additions you'll like to have. There's also an updated video with a neat tutorial on how to customize your way around KLWP.

Check the videos in YouTube.

In case his links aren't working, here are download mirrors for them:

Just a reminder.

It's okay to have all sorts of crazy KLWP setups, but do remember that more components mean more memory use and processing use. Thankfully, this only happens while you're in the home screen, but still keep it in mind that you may encounter performance issues if you add too much stuff.

This counts for components that are offscreen -- they're not rendered, but they're still loaded in phone memory somehow.

tl;dr please don't fill your entire phone homescreen with the Phantom Thieves. You can't have more than four in a fight, after all. (Well, you can try, but you have been warned)
