Why do I need a Work Permit?
Except in limited circumstances defined in law and summarized in the Child Labor Law Booklet, all minors under 18 years of age employed in the state of California must have a permit to work.
Directions for obtaining a Work Permit:
The "Statement of Intent to Employ Minor and Request for Work Permit" form must be completed by the student and the employer and signed by the student's parent/guardian and the employer.
Return your COMPLETED Work Permit Student Agreement PDF and Request for Work Permit Form to Mx. Boado for review and issuance of your Work Permit.
Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.
Check in with your grade-level Vice Principal for work permit questions.

Job Readiness Workshop is for High School Students wanting to learn how to seek and obtain employment. This curriculum is designed to prepare all participants for all aspects of the job-seeking process as well as participation in the Intern Interview and expectations of selected PAID interns.
Orientation (Virtual): Zoom, May 24th, 2023 5:30-6:30pm: Mandatory orientation will be on Zoom. Zoom link will be sent prior to orientation date.
