The Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps is a multi-year program that runs concurrently with a student’s normal college or university educational course of study. In addition to a normal academic workload leading to a Bachelor’s degree, NROTC students attend classes in Naval Science, participate in unit drill and physical training, and other activities. Students are also taught the leadership principles and high ideals of a military officer.
During the summer break between school years, NROTC students participate in a variety of training courses. These periods of instruction help students understand different career options, as well as familiarize them with a military life. Upon graduation students are commissioned as second lieutenants in the Marine Corps.

For students interested in STEM, healthcare, business, communications, and psychology, who are looking for a smaller university (90% of courses have 30 students or fewer!) focused on knowledge application, and love small town living and/or the outdoors — Oregon Tech could be a really good fit.
Students can apply through the Common App. If they use the fee waiver code "firstyear", the application will be free.
We also make it very easy to apply. Students do not need to submit an essay, test scores, or letters of recommendation, and we ask students to self-report their courses and grades, so you do not need to submit a transcript until after they graduate.
Lastly, students from western states in eligible majors are automatically awarded Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) tuition. This keeps students from paying out of state tuition, and saves them over $15,000 per year.
If students have any questions about Oregon Tech, the admission process, or financial aid, please don't hesitate to reach out to :
