https://dream.csac.ca.gov/Gov. Gavin Newsome signed bill SB 893 that will allow San Mateo County residents (see link below for exceptions for Undocumented students) to attend San Mateo County Community Colleges, Skyline College, College of San Mateo, and Canada College, for FREE. The new bill is slated to begin on Jan.1, 2023 in time for the Spring semester.
There are no minimum or maximum units required. Students who prove financial need by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form or the California Dream Act (CADAA) for undocumented residents would also be exempt from paying health, student body, student representation, student union, inclusive access and materials fees.
JUHSD students can apply to San Mateo Community Colleges, CSU's, UC's, Common Application, and complete their FAFSA or CADAA application using the California Colleges portal at californiacolleges.edu.
