Tentative Trip Itinerary:
Itinerary is subject to change based on actual appointment times. A final timeline will be provided approximately 30 – 45 days prior to departure.
Friday
- Group will board coaches and head South to Mammoth Cave
- Group will participate in Mammoth Cave tour
- Group will continue on to Nashville where they will have included dinner stipend and free time at Opry Mills Mall.
- Later this evening group will proceed to the hotel for remainder of the night
Saturday
This morning group will have included breakfast at the hotel before checking out and continuing on to Huntsville AL
- Group will proceed to Early Works Museum for a visit including docent led museum interactive tour.
- Civil War soldiers, a Talking Tree, and whimmy diddles—see them all at the EarlyWorks Family of Museums. These museums in the heart of historic downtown Huntsville, Alabama, will take you on a journey back in time. Experience history as it comes to life in unique settings such as a 46-foot keel boat, an 1860’s era depot or the cabinet shop where delegates met to discuss and draft the constitution for statehood in 1819. Your incredible adventure awaits at the South’s largest hands-on history museum complex!
- Group will have included lunch at Cici’s pizza Huntsville AL (or similar venue)
- Group will transfer to the US Space and Rocket Center where they will check in for their Space Camp adventure entitled the Surveyor Program.
- Trainees in the Surveyor program prepare for a tumble spin on the Multi-Axis Trainer and experience the Five Degrees of Freedom Chair! They see an IMAX® or a digital movie in our on-site theaters, and build and launch paper rockets. They also have a science briefing that is correlated to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) national education standards. Groups have the option to begin on Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. Adult chaperones participate in Surveyor.

Sunday
- Group has included breakfast as part of the Surveyor program.
- Group will have included lunch at Space Camp
- Group is to finish Surveyor program this afternoon and depart US Space and Rocket center bound for home.
- Group will stop en route for lunch and given a 10.00 per person meal stipend
- Group will continue home to arrive back this evening
Rates per student and/or chaperone: **A 3.5 percent discount applies to payments via cash, check or money order**
3 or 4 per room in Nashville: 400.00 per person
2 per room in Nashville: 455.00 per person
1 per room in Nashville: 525.00 per person
- Night 1 the group stays in a Nashville area hotel with up to 4 per room. To secure the lowest price requires 3 or 4 persons sharing a room on Night 1
- Night 2 is at Space Camp and there is no choice of rooming during Space Camp**** all are single bunk beds****
Payment Dates:
These payment dates are strictly adhered to and these are dates payments are due in our offices. Reminder emails are generally sent 1 to 2 weeks before due date.
October 19, 2019: 100.00 per person nonrefundable deposit
November 19, 2019: 100.00 payment due
December 19, 2019: 100.00 payment due
January 26, 2020 Full and final payment due
- Full posted payment in Space Camp is required before room or roommate selection is allowed through online registration. Codes will be given to those who have paid in full for online forms January 26, 2019.
Cancel and change penalties:
All cancellation fees are per passenger penalty and based on the date received/date of the referral.
- Name changes are allowed any time.
- First deposit through December 29, 2019: $100.00 per cancelled person penalty
- December 30, 2020 through February 11, 2020: $175.00 per cancelled passenger penalty
- February 22, 2020 through February 29, 2020: $275.00 per cancelled passenger penalty
- March 1, 2020 through departure: Nonrefundable
- Group is responsible for room allotment changes (IE: if a 4 passenger room drops to a 2 passenger room)
Behavior Requirement:
Students are expected to follow school rules and abide by classroom expectations, as well as, pass all of their classes for the year in order to attend the 7th grade trip. Students are not allowed to take cell phones or electronic devices. If at any time a student does not follow the school’s Student Support and Behavior Intervention Handbook and is suspended, even one day, he or she is no longer eligible to attend the Space Camp trip. The refund policy will apply to the date on the referral to determine the refundable amount by the travel agency.
