About Mrs. Reynolds
Hello! My name is Mrs. Reynolds and I am the new 7th grade counselor.
I moved here from Wichita, Kansas so my 2 kids could be closer to family. In Wichita I was a 4th grade teacher for a total of 5 years, an elementary school counselor for 3 years, a middle school counselor for 1 year, and an Assistant Principal for an elementary school for 1 year. I was also a crisis counselor for 3 years.
In addition to being a counselor at Newburg, I am also a PRN therapist at Peace Hospital. I enjoy advocating, educating, and serving those who are lost, ignored, and forgotten. It is my passion to educate others about education and mental health and how important it is to recognize and understand both for students to be successful. I believe in the power of restorative justice and self-discovery.
I have experience in helping students who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and feelings they may not understand.
I truly enjoy the city of Louisville and cannot wait to serve you and your needs!
