Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
After you type your password, JCPS asks for one more step. What you see depends on your primary method.
Text message: A 6-digit code is texted to you. Type it and select Go.
Rapid Identity app: The screen says Pinging. Tap Approve on your phone, and sign-in finishes on its own.
Authenticator app: Open the app and type the 6-digit code shown under RapidIdentity.
Can't use your usual method? Once you have a secondary option setup, you can select Try another method to switch to a backup method.
How often? Usually about once a day. You will be asked again if you switch devices or networks, such as going from school Wi-Fi to home.
Never approve a sign-in you didn't start. If you get an Approve request or a code you didn't ask for, tap Deny, change your password, and call the IT Support Center at 502-485-3552.
