Description - The JROTC Rifle team builds leadership and teamwork. In this team, cadets are expected to shoot air rifles at given targets set up in front of them. Cadets have to shoot in three positions: prone, standing, and kneeling. Just like the other teams, students shoot and compete with other schools and are scored. To join the Lely Rifle team you must be a JROTC cadet, talk to the commanders about being interested, and pass a test on safety. This team was just recently brought back to Lely so we aspire to introduce this team to our cadets and hopefully improve scores with some practice!

Description - Students take on the roles of attorneys and witnesses in a simulated courtroom setting, developing critical skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and legal analysis as they prepare and present a full case. We compete against other high schools in highly competitive regional and state competitions, putting our advocacy skills to the ultimate test. It is the perfect opportunity to build confidence, master debate, and gain a profound understanding of law and justice. Regional competition will be January 31, 2026 - February 1, 2026, in Lexington, Covington, or Owensboro. State championship will be February 27, 2026 - March 1, 2026 in Louisville.
