Hello, Preschool Families!

I’m thrilled to begin a new school year with all of you and your wonderful little ones! As we get to know one another, I wanted to share a little bit about myself.

I’ve lived in beautiful Arvada for most of my life, and Colorado will always hold a special place in my heart. My passion for early childhood education began more than 15 years ago and continues to grow with each new group of children I have the privilege of teaching. I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2014 with a degree in Elementary Education and my teaching license.

My experience in both Montessori and play-based preschool settings has deeply shaped my teaching philosophy. I believe young children learn best through play, exploration, meaningful relationships, and plenty of opportunities to wonder, create, and discover. I’m so excited to bring those experiences and that philosophy to our classroom here in Jeffco!

Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom to three incredible daughters: Charlie, Violet, and Dahlia. They keep me on my toes, fill my days with laughter, and remind me of both the simple joys of childhood and the wild adventure of life with teenagers! When I’m not busy being a mom or a teacher, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, challenging friends and family to a board game, exploring local trails, or discovering a new coffee shop or farmers market. I’m also a huge hockey fan and love cheering on the Colorado Avalanche, so don't be surprised if you catch me talking game stats or wearing my burgundy and blue on game days!

I can’t wait to get to know your children and your families throughout the year. My hope is that together we can create a classroom community where every child feels safe, loved, curious, and excited to learn.

Welcome, preschool friends! I am absolutely thrilled to kick off this year with all of you. As a proud 5th-generation Colorado native, and as a graduate from Broomfield High School, I have deep roots in this beautiful state and know this area well. I pursued my passion and obtained my associates degree in Early Childhood Education and Directors License. Over the past 12 years, I have worked in Jeffco Preschools, where I've watched countless children grow and thrive.

On a personal note, I have been happily married for 22 years to my wonderful husband, Jeff. Together, we have two beautiful daughters. Our oldest daughter graduated from Standley Lake High School, while our younger daughter is enjoying her Sophomore year at Standley Lake.

In my free time, I indulge in hobbies, including reading books, enjoying movies and television series, and cherishing moments spent with my family and friends. I look forward to an incredible year ahead filled with learning and fun!
