In our competition, we have a robot design presentation. In this presentation, we have to explain our robot and our programs to the judges. We build, our robot, Githu, to conquer the missions and have us be at the top of the leader-board for the robot game. Githu has many unique features that make him on of the best robots.
We have programmed our robot, Githu, to use it's color sensors and backing up to walls, allowing us to know Githu's exact angle and location on the mat.
Here is Githu's first program. This run does the fountain, water well, faucet and the pipe. We use the color sensor three times and we back up to walls two times.
This is Githu's mechanics that make him such a good robot. His design includes four attachments, two large wheels, two color sensors and one touch sensor. He is durable because he has multiple support beams and a low center of gravity. He is efficient because his attachments fit into one point and repairs are simple. His mechanization is strong because he has an axle through the wheels causing less movement. Also his speed is balanced.
When we were making Githu, we made him have many innovations and on the field mat we had strategies. His innovations include our slingshot attachment that allows us to complete half of the mission inside of base, Our jig keeps up lined up. The processes we took is analyzing which missions earned the most points and were the closest. Also, we made programs that complete missions in as little time as possible.
