We thought long and hard about how we could clean our storm water. After a while, we came up with a storm water filter in the inlet. It would be a two step filter to get rid of almost all pollutants in the storm water. The first filter, is a course filter that uses and air filter that you could usually find inside your house. This lets water through, but not the big trash. Our second step, is a fine filter that uses natural materials to get out all the chemicals that include oil and pesticides. We also thought about how we could clean the filter. Every week that it rains, a trash truck would come to each inlet and vacuum out all the trash from the filter. They already, go to each house, so it would be nothing for them to clean out the filter.
