Jazz Band is an ensemble comprised of the typical jazz horn section (saxophone/trombone/trumpet) as well as the rhythm section (piano/guitar/bass/drumset/vibes). We prepare intermediate/advanced literature while learning improvisation. Co-curricular enrollment in a concert band class is mandatory for jazz bands (some exceptions made for guitar/piano - bass players need to be enrolled in an orchestra course and will learn upright bass). 

This group participates in concerts and gigs regularly at community and school events.
