This year I am making writing and math video's and technology components for a 1st grade remote class. The teacher must trust that I am teaching to the standards at the same level of efficacy she would perform at. This partnership has been successful and I can not wait to see growth scores for both writing and math!
I meet weekly with the 1st grade remote teacher around reading, writing, and math instruction. We follow the CDE early literacy guidelines and use Bridge to Curriculum to teach reading groups. This carries over to writing. Seeing the daily growth in writing is motivating!!
Collaboration takes place in all areas, especially this year. This is a Padlet I have created to help engage students in STEM activities.
After reflecting on meetings I have attended this school year, I find the grade level team planning meetings to be the most purposeful. Co-planning and co-teaching conversations and planning take place at these meetings. My goal is to be part of each grade level!
