Those selected for the a Colorado All-State Ensemble reach the pinnacle achievement for a Colorado high school music student. All-State Ensembles offer a unique and highly beneficial experience that goes beyond what is possible in local or even district-level groups. All-State ensembles are known for their incredibly high musical standards. Students are exposed to and perform advanced, college-level repertoire under the direction of nationally recognized conductors and clinicians. The intensive, short-term rehearsal process pushes musicians to develop their technical skills, sight-reading ability, and musicality at an accelerated pace. This is a chance to learn from a master educator who can offer specialized insights into the music and the art of performance.
Each year, many students audition for the Colorado All-State Ensembles and only a select few are accepted to participate.
