BINGO is out primary means of fundraising and benefits all elements of our program
Bingo is a state licensed and closely monitored fundraiser for non-profit organizations.
Each organization that is licensed to conduct bingo games is, in a sense, operating its own independent business–purchasing supplies, renting a licensed facility, maintaining financial records, advertising, providing a volunteer work force, paying taxes, etc – all in accordance with Colorado State Gaming Laws.
So why do we operate a bingo “business”? Because it help raise money directly for our booster program to support the music program, which ends up to $60,000 that we are not paying in school music fees.
That is where you come in! In order to run our “business” and earn all that money for the program, we need volunteer help. Fortunately, the work is neither strenuous nor tedious.
Volunteer duties include:
Selling bingo paper and pull-tabs (aka, “pickles”) to our customers
Counting money and tickets
Paying the winners, operating the cash register
Calling the bingo games.
For a typical bingo session, we need 10-12 volunteers.
We operate all of our bingo sessions at:
Slammers Bingo
1884 S Wadsworth Blvd
Lakewood, CO.
Phone: 303-339-8250 (Northeast corner of Wadsworth & Jewell behind McDonalds and Liberty Bank)
Call Time is 6:00 pm for our Sunday, 7:30 pm – 9:15 pm session.
