Dakota Ridge High School is located in the southwest suburbs of Denver, CO in Littleton, and is a part of Jeffco Public Schools. We are proud of our band, orchestra, percussion, and color guard programs that annually serves over 120 students.

Director of Instrumental Music
The DRHS Instrumental Music program is under the direction of Mr. Cody Kiesling. Mr. Kiesling has taught at DRHS for the past 2 years. He is originally from Oregon and received both his Master’s (2024) and Bachelor’s (2020) Degrees in Music Education from the University of Oregon (UO) in Eugene, OR. During his time at the UO he was a member of the Oregon Marching Band (OMB) and finished his senior year conducting, as a drum major for the 2020 Rose Bowl. Mr. Kiesling also made appearances at the UO Men's Elite 8 basketball tournament in Louisville, Kentucky (2019), UO Women's Finals 4 basketball tournament in Tampa Bay, Florida (2019), and many men's and women's PAC-12 basketball tournaments in Las Vegas, Nevada. From 2020-2022, Mr. Kiesling was the Director of Bands at Siuslaw Middle and High School in Florence, OR. At Siuslaw, he was responsible for all band related activities which includes pep band during football and basketball games, parade marching, and all concerts for both the middle and high school band programs. At DRHS, Mr. Kiesling teaches Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, String Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Marching Band, Pep Band, and is the conductor for the Pit Orchestra for the Spring Musical.
