Dorina's Tech Tidbit on StoryMaps

StoryMaps is a really great online software program that I recently discovered. If you’re looking for a technology-based alternative for a summative assignment--this is a great option.

Storymaps allows students to combine authoritative maps with narrative text, images, and multimedia content. It makes it easy to harness the power of maps and geography to tell a story. Please don’t disregard it if you are not an I&S or L&L teacher, though. I think other contents could find very engaging and creative uses for it as well. Also, the inclusion of maps into the final digital story is optional. It’s free and simple to use, but please know that I am very happy to plan and co-teach with any of you to incorporate this great resource into classrooms.
