Course Description:
The increase in technology use has been growing exponentially. Company financials have been a big contributor (if not the lead contributor) to this growth. So when technology is used in this manner, how does the organization (or its auditor) gain comfort over the information being processed, or more specifically, the outputs from the technology being used? One approach may be obtaining a SOC report on the technology (or system). This session will dive into some examples of how SOC reports may work for financial statement reporting and auditing, while learning what you should get out of a SOC report for financial statement purposes. Good information for both SOC and financial auditors, this course will cover all angles.
